This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, changes, and refunds work for all our tour packages, hotel bookings, ticket bookings, transportation services, and other travel-related services.
Please read this policy carefully before making any booking with us.
All cancellations must be requested in writing, either through email or WhatsApp on our official number +91 9760096300.
Cancellations are not accepted verbally over phone calls unless followed by an email or written message.
The date on which we receive your written cancellation request will be considered the official cancellation date.
Refunds will be processed as per the refund timeline mentioned in this policy.
30 days or more before travel date:
80% of the total amount will be refunded.
15–29 days before travel date:
50% of the total amount will be refunded.
7–14 days before travel date:
25% of the total amount will be refunded.
Less than 7 days before travel date:
No refund.
Hotel refunds depend on the cancellation policy of the specific hotel.
Some hotels allow free cancellation up to a certain date.
Some hotels charge 100% for last-minute cancellations.
UdanchhU Travel will follow the hotel’s refund guidelines completely.
Flight ticket refunds follow airline rules.
Most airlines charge cancellation fees.
Some tickets (promo fares, special fares) may be non-refundable.
Convenience fee and service charges are non-refundable.
Bus ticket refunds depend on the operator.
Many operators offer partial refunds until a certain time.
Last-minute cancellations may be non-refundable.
We reserve the right to cancel or postpone tours in cases such as:
Natural disasters
Unsafe weather conditions
Road blockages
Government restrictions
Operational issues beyond our control
Full refund (excluding third-party charges such as flights, hotels, helicopter tickets).
Rescheduling the tour to another suitable date.
Credit voucher valid for future travel with UdanchhU Travel.
A traveler is considered a "No-Show" when:
They fail to arrive at the departure location on time
They delay the itinerary due to personal reasons
They miss transportation or connection
They do not provide mandatory documents required for travel
No refund is applicable for No-Show cases.
If a traveler decides to:
Leave the tour midway
Skip specific sightseeing
Change the itinerary on their own
Shorten the trip for personal reasons
➤ No refund will be processed for unused services.
Refunds for helicopter services follow the rules laid down by helicopter operators and the Uttarakhand government.
If helicopters are cancelled due to weather, refunds depend on the operator.
If the passenger cancels due to personal reasons, the operator’s cancellation fees will apply.
UdanchhU Travel only assists in processing the refund—we do not decide the amount.
Refunds are processed within:
7–14 working days for normal tour packages
15–25 working days for flight and hotel cancellations
30–45 working days for helicopter tickets and government-controlled services
Refunds are always returned to the original mode of payment.
The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:
Booking fees
Convenience charges
Train ticket service fee
Payment gateway charges
Government taxes
Any 3rd-party non-refundable component
Any booking made under special offer or discount price
